Professional Responsibilities & Experience

As Vice President of Development for The Robert Green Company, Mr. Russell is responsible for specific project development process beginning with entitlement and permit procurement, contractor selection and negotiations, design, construction, and transition to hotel operations.  He is responsible for preparation of all development budgets, project design and construction schedules, assisting in the selection of designers and contractors, overseeing the preparation of design documents; assisting architects in obtaining permits, licenses, and approvals.

Mr. Russell is also responsible for the coordination of all construction activities, including preparation of contractor request for proposals, bid packages, the negotiations of construction contracts, reviewing and providing analysis of Contractor bids. He is responsible for onsite construction of the general contractor and subcontractors. Mr. Russell’s daily construction responsibilities include construction schedule review, participation in owner/contactor meetings, approval of change orders, monthly pay applications, and bank draws, preparation of project status reports, monitoring and coordination of the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment design and purchase.

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley As Vice President of Development, Mr. Russell was responsible for construction management duties, review and approval of all project change orders, claims resolution, monitoring the installation of FF&E, transition of the hotel to hotel operator, final punch completion, and subcontractor close-out

Four Season Resort Jackson Hole –As Vice President of Development, Mr. Russell was responsible for overseeing the construction completion of the project, remediation of construction and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system deficiencies, enhancement of interior changes, FF&E installations, remediation of hotel exterior skin and roof, and exterior site work and infrastructure completion.  Mr. Russell was responsible for construction subcontractors, architects, forensic architects and engineers.  He was responsible for budget development and management, as well as construction scheduling.  Mr. Russell managed multiple teams on a wide variety of construction related issues, and was responsible for addressing hotel deficiencies and concerns on behalf of the hotel ownership.


United States Army Corp of Engineers – Europe Division – Military Housing and Infrastructure Construction –
As Vice President and Managing Partner for this global construction firm, Mr. Russell served as Project Executive for multi-project military housing construction and infrastructure improvement program throughout Europe.  Mr. Russell managed multiple construction programs at eleven U.S. military facilities.  His responsibilities included complete oversight of military housing construction project from design to final construction.  He was responsible for contract negotiations, program budget, schedule, quality assurance/control, subcontractor management and coordination with European agencies.  In addition to construction of military housing, Mr. Russell oversaw the design and construction of multiple military base infrastructure that included, design and construction of waste water treatment plants, domestic drinking water systems, storm conveyance systems, base surveillance and electrical systems.
