Aviara
(Website)
Situated atop a
hillside overlooking the Batiquitos Lagoon and the
Pacific Ocean, the Spanish Colonial style Hotel is
designed to replicate a grand Mediterranean villa. Guestrooms
overlook the lagoon or ocean, or alternatively the eastern mountains
and Aviara’s championship golf course.
The building
placement has allowed for maximum open space to enhance the
atmosphere of leisure in this untrammeled environment. The building
varies in height from two to five stories. It is designed to conform
to the hillside so that the lobby and reception area may be entered
on the third level.
Robert S. Green, Jr’s responsibilities encompassed all facets of the
resort development, including: due diligence, land acquisition and
entitlement, development entity formation, financial pro-forma
modeling, hotel operator, contract negotiation, acquisition of
equity and debt, design supervision, construction management and
FF&E coordination.
